House Wine is a medium-full bodied red blend (predominantly cab, with merlot, syrah, malbec, and cab franc) from Columbia Valley. There are some nice fruit flavors that follow with a super silky smooth finish. We found the finish to be very short though, leaving us little to remember after swallowing. We found the mid-palate a little flabby--messy, unbalanced, blah. At $14, it isn't bad, but you're better off trying another. We tasted House Wine before and liked it, but since then we've been trying dozens of wines that make for much better QPRs. If you're looking to stay under that $15 mark, take a look at our under-construction Top 15 wines Under $15!
