This Mendoza Malbec displayed a funky nose with some mushrooms, earth and figs.
The mushrooms really came through on the flavor, as well as the earthiness we smelled. Prune is the dominant fruit flavor accompanied by dried herbs.
The mouthfeel was flat and one dimensional. It's medium-bodied with nice tannins, but alcohol forward. The wine doesn't come together, feeling very disjointed. For $12 there are MUCH better options out of Argentina. Pass!
