This Rioja was a beautiful dark crimson--very intriguing! Aromas of ripe black berries and leather fill the glass.
It's medium-full bodied with flavors of black cherry, green pepper, and driftwood. It has a weird flabby bacon fat characteristic on the back end. It has subtle tannins and slight acidity. If you like interesting, different wines, this one's for you! There's a little alcohol that shows through, but it may go away with some decanting. Pairs well with cured meats and cheese. Oh, and only $14!
