2006 Greg Norman Shiraz

With unfair association to celebrity wines, we doubted this shiraz. A quick swirl of the glass revealed some really great aromas of spice, mocha, and raspberries. We thought maybe this would be the prelude to disappointment.

We picked up flavors of cloves, blackberries, cherries, raspberries, all a little jammy (in a good way!). Mocha and vanilla follow on the back end, leading to a decently long finish.

This wine has some nice balance of delicate tannins and lower acidity. It is full bodied in the best ways, not being overpowered by its 14.5% alcohol. We're pretty pleased with the Greg Norman Shiraz for only about $14. Give this a try for sure!
