2002 Campo Viejo Rioja Gran Reserva

Very bold, deep tempranillo! Typical layers of leather and spice, join with delicate black fruits, oak, and feelings of an old basement. There was a little heat upon opening, but we didn't give it a chance to open up.

This would be a perfect wine for braised short ribs! This wine is about $20, and we think it's worth it.
