N.V. Clos LaChance Wicked Good Red (California Blend)

So we had to pick this one up, because it's something we say so often, "Wicked Good!" Does it stand up to its name, though?

We got prominent earth and plums on the nose--very aromatic. The aromas carry over into flavors of more earth and ripe fruits (currants and plums). We also tasted fresh herbs and tobacco from this rustic-style wine. Each sip brought on more and more layers of flavors!

There was a little heat on the back end still present after an hour of breathing. This wine loses some points as a result, but for $9, you better be writing this one down on your wines-to-try list! There's a boat load of quality characteristics. Excellent QPR! We've decided we can say, "It's a Wicked Good value!" Top Pick!
